Yes! Entry and parking are both FREE, but you do need to reserve your free admission ticket online before you visit.

Rides, ice skating, Santa’s Enchanted Grotto, Journey to the North Pole: Illuminated and Grinchy’s Grotto Takeover are charged separately.

Yes, you can buy tickets at the venue. However, we recommend booking online in advance, especially for Ice Skating, Santa’s Enchanted Grotto and Journey to the North Pole: Illuminated, as sessions get booked up quickly.

Entry tickets allow an all day stay, we advise wrapping up with warm layered outdoor clothing, where possible wear non slip flat shoes or boots.

Journey to the North Pole: Illuminated opens at dusk every event day. It is a separate ticket and isn’t included in free entry, so please book your trail tickets online.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 or over, to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

Santa’s Enchanted Grotto is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 21 November to 19 December, then every day from 19 to 24 December.

Every child receives a luxury Winter Wonderland Norwich teddy bear, embroidered in gold with the year of their visit. Grotto photos are available as an optional extra. Weekend slots go quickly, so please book early.

Grinchy’s Grotto Takeover is an adult-only, ticketed event, running on two nights only:

• Saturday 5 December, 7pm to 9pm
• Saturday 19 December, 7pm to 9pm

Rides are paid for with a Festive Fun Card or an unlimited ride wristband. Both can be bought in advance online or from our on-site booths.

Our ride wristbands aren’t based on age. They’re based on which rides you’d like to go on.

• Tiny Thrills wristband: unlimited rides on our smaller, gentler rides, including Santa’s Express rollercoaster, Runaway Train, Grinch House and Fun House. Perfect for little ones.
• Ultimate Thrills wristband: unlimited rides on every Tiny Thrills ride, plus all the bigger rides, including Crazy Mouse. It covers everything except the Observation Wheel and the 60m Sky Swing.

Each person going on the rides needs their own wristband. Wristbands must be worn by the person they were bought for and can’t be swapped or shared.

Prefer to share? Load credit onto a Festive Fun Card instead. One Fun Card can be used by the whole family on any ride or attraction, including the Observation Wheel and Sky Swing.

Yes! This season Winter Wonderland Norwich runs on Festive Fun Cards.

Simply load your Fun Card in advance online, or with cash or card at one of our on-site Fun Card booths. Then use it right across the park: food and drink, rides, game stalls and attractions, including the Observation Wheel and Sky Swing. You can top up as often as you like.

The only exception is ice skating, which can be paid for directly.

Fun Card credit is non-refundable, but you can use it on any event day until 3 January 2027, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy it.

Fun Card credit is not valid after 3 January 2027.

Our ice rink is real ice and almost 1,000m², making it one of the largest in the UK. There’s plenty of room to glide, whether it’s your first time on the ice or you’re a seasoned skater.

Sizes range from Junior 8 to adult size 15.

During busy sessions we may run out of certain skate sizes, we will always endeavour to provide a suitable alternative but please be aware skates are available on a first come first served basis.

We also have dual blade bob skates available for skaters with shoes size junior 8 – junior 11 (we have a limited number available on a first come first served basis.)

Yes please feel free to use your own Skates. 

Yes we do, these are available at £5.25 online, or £5.25 per session on a first come first served basis on the day.

For all of you who want to get your full season of skating in, you can purchase our unlimited seasonal pass – allowing entry to the rink as many times as you like during our season.

Our Ice Rink is accessible to everyone, however we highly recommend visiting during quieter periods. 

Please note that electric wheelchair users may need to switch into manual mode. We also advise that wheelchair users are accompanied on the ice by a carer or personal assistant. If you have any questions during your visit to the ice please ask to speak to the duty manager.

Yes, parking is FREE in our improved, illuminated on-site car park, subject to availability.

We welcome dogs on any day except Saturdays, as these tend to be our busiest and most stimulating days for furry paws.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome at any time. We understand the essential role these highly trained dogs play in the lives of the people who rely on them.

Safety is our main priority, we want everyone to feel safe and enjoy the event. On occasion our security team may carry out bag checks and there are restrictions on items we allow on site.

During your visit we ask you remain vigilant, do not to leave bags or belongings unattended.

A bit of rain won’t stop us, Winter Wonderland is an outdoor event so please make sure you wrap up warm! There are some covered areas and some indoor seating.

In the event of extreme adverse weather (high winds etc) we may need to close the site at short notice – wherever possible we will advertise this on our social media channels but please be aware that when we close for safety reasons there may be limited notice. 

If the day’s event is cancelled, ticket holders will be emailed by See Tickets and offered an option to transfer their booking or request a refund.

Alcohol is available from our licensed Bars, please bear in mind we operate a challenge 25 policy so when purchasing alcohol if you look under 25 you will be asked for valid identification to confirm that you are aged 18 plus.

Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol in from off site and any alcoholic drinks purchased from the bars must be consumed before leaving the event site.

We always try our best to be as inclusive as possible, however certain rides and attractions are physically demanding and vigorous. We therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to any ride or attraction should we feel there is an unacceptable risk to your safety, or the safety of others should they participate. Our ride operators and team members are always available to assist and advise in any way they can.

The Showground toilets will be open to guests throughout our opening times.

Plenty! Tuck into turkey with all the trimmings, Yorkshire pudding wraps, pulled pork baps, pulled brisket made with locally sourced meats, roast potato pots, bratwurst, smash burgers, loaded fries and stone-baked pizzas.

For something sweet, there are churros, crepes, donuts, cookies, mince pies, warm chocolate fountains and marshmallows for toasting. Our licensed bars, including the Alpine Lodge, serve festive drinks too.

Gluten-free options will be available, but they may be limited. To ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible, we also allow customers to bring their own food in cases where allergies or intolerances are a concern.
